The breed could be dated back to 14th century. In history, Cocker Spaniel got its name from a wood bird called woodcock, which was hunted by this breed. Cocker Spaniel is different in different countries, so sometimes people will add country name in front of it. Being used in the game, the breed was soon popular and today this breed is one of the most popular spaniel in the world.
